How can I start playing on a PvE server from the servers above?
To join, check out the servers above and pick one that looks fun, maybe a server with a small friendly community, land claiming, or custom mobs and dungeons. Once you've found one, click the Copy IP button next to the server's banner. Afterwards open Minecraft, click the Multiplayer button, and then click Add Server, and paste the IP into the address box to join. If you have any issues joining, double check you're on a version of Minecraft the server supports. After joining, you'll usually spawn in a safe spawn area or tutorial where you can read the rules, and then use a /rtp or /wild command to teleport to the wild and start surviving against the environment.
What is a Minecraft PvE server and how do they work?
A PvE server (Player vs Environment) is a survival world where the focus is on fighting mobs and surviving the environment instead of fighting other players. In this game mode you'll still mine, farm, build and explore like normal, but most of these servers either disable PvP fully, or limit it to certain areas or warps so you aren't killed while building. Sometimes extra features like land claims, grief protection, quests, and an economy are also added to help make the gameplay more enjoyable compared to pure vanilla.
How do I find the best server?
When you're trying to find the best server on our list, start by checking the rules and how strict the server is about griefing and PvP. If your goal is to have a chill vanilla survival type feel with players, look for a server with claims and no raiding or PvP turned on. It may be worth checking if the server also has an economy, or any custom features like custom bosses, dungeons, etc. Really most PvE servers are very similar so it all comes down to personal preference on what exactly you're looking for. Join a couple that look promising, play through a few sessions, and keep playing on the server where the difficulty, events and community line up with what you enjoy.
